Description

Type 2 surge protectors are intended to protect against transient overvoltages at the service entrance of low-voltage systems or near sensitive equipment. Surge protection solutions are available for systems up to 1,000 V a.c. against atmospheric discharge, and switching operations surges are Capable of discharging induced voltage surges (8/20 s). Suitable for use as the second level of protection in supply distribution panels with Type 1 protectors or as the first level of protection in applications not exposed to direct strikes and without an external lightning protection system.
